How much do bite sized coaching sessions cost?

It depends on the coach. Coaches set their own prices on the Ballmecca app. Prices for bite sized video analysis currently range from $5 to $24. You may try our technology free of charge by requesting a bite sized video analysis from our admin account.

What is bite sized coaching or micro coaching?

Bite sized or micro coaching are terms used for short coaching interactions. A bite sized video analysis may represent a 1 to 5 minute where a coach breaks down your technique and identifies areas for improvement in the video that you sent the coach.

How does the video analysis tool work?

An athlete sends a coach a video of themselves playing or performing the sport of interest. The coach sends back a bite sized video analysis where the athlete can see their original video but now they can hear the coach explaining what can be improved and they can see drawings on the video from the coach as well.

How long should an athlete’s video be that is sent to the coach for feedback?

Both the video from the athlete and the video from the coach showing the bite sized video analysis should range between 1 to 5 minutes. This is not a set rule, but we have seen that this leads to the most effective feedback.

Why is it not recommended to send a coach a video that is longer than five minutes?

Since the athlete and the coach are interacting via video exchanges, we recommend short bite-sized interactions so that both the athlete and the coach may be focused on one or two areas of improvement at a time. From there, the athlete may request additional help once he or she has tried what the coach suggested.

If I am a coach and I receive a video from an athlete that has too many issues to point out in a micro coaching session, what should I do?

You should still proceed with the video analysis that was requested. But we recommend only providing feedback on one or two areas of improvement. You may state at the end of the video that you noticed other things that you can help the athlete with and give an example of one of those things that you can help with on the next bite sized coaching session.

Can I get hurt from this type of coaching?

Please consult with a health professional prior to using the Ballmecca app in any way. If you are cleared to perform the activities you are seeking help for, please only put into practice any feedback that you receive under the supervision of a professional and in an environment that would not put you or anyone around you at risk.

Can I trust these coaches on the Ballmecca app?

Coaches on the Ballmecca app are verified to be who they say they are prior to receiving full authorization as a user on the Ballmecca app.

How are coaches verified?

Coaches submit information about their experiences, and the Ballmecca team verifies that the coach creating the account is truly that person on the profile and that the experiences listed on the profile are valid. Coaches are also required to submit examples of video analysis performed on the app which are reviewed by the Ballmecca team prior to giving the coach authorization.

What are the minimum requirements for a coach on the Ballmecca app?

The minimum requirements for a coach to qualify to be a coach on the Ballmecca app are as follows:

    - Played at the collegiate level.

    - Played or competed at the professional level.

    - Coached at the high school level.

    - Coached at the collegiate level.

    - Coached at the professional level.

    - Coached in some form of private practice.

What if I am a self-taught coach who has a private practice, runs private clinics, owns a training facility, or has private clients?

We welcome you to use the Ballmecca app as a coach. But for the safety of the athletes, since that is a little bit tougher to verify, we may have additional questions for you during the onboarding process.

Are athletes charged before or after a bite sized coaching session is completed?

Our payment process was designed with the intent to protect both the athlete and the coach. When the athlete submits a bite sized coaching request, the payment method is verified, and a hold is placed on that payment method. When the coach responds with the bite sized coaching video, the payment is captured, or the charge is made on the payment method that the athlete used. This is a simplified version of what happens in the background, but both of these steps protect the athlete by ensuring that the coach delivers the coaching that was requested, and it protects the coach by ensuring that they will be paid for the service that they are providing.

How soon should I expect to get the bite sized coaching that I requested from the coach?

That will depend on the coach but the Ballmecca policy requires responses within 6 days. If after 6 days a coach has not responded, the hold that was placed on the athlete’s payment is released and the request is voided.

Does Ballmecca process payments directly?

Since we are not experts in banking or payments, we left that to the professionals in order to maximize security for our users. We partnered with a company called Stripe, and they process payments and distribute funds to our coaches. For more information, please visit stripe.com. We do not store credit card information on our database.

How can I request a refund?

Refund Policy: At Ballmecca, we strive to ensure customer satisfaction. However, as a general rule, we do not issue refunds once a coaching service has been provided. If you believe there are extenuating circumstances that warrant a refund, please contact our support team at support@ballmecca.com within 48 hours of receiving your service. While we maintain a policy of no refunds, we reserve the right to make exceptions at our sole discretion on a case-by-case basis. Please note that contacting our team within the specified 48-hour window does not guarantee a refund, as decisions are made based on the specifics of each individual case.
